Welcome! I’m Erik P Harlow, a Southern California native who grew up on a steady diet of trolls, hobbits, and spaceships. My earliest adventures in storytelling began behind a DM’s screen at age twelve, where I discovered that fantasy gaming was the perfect excuse to spin tales unbound by the limits of reality. Many of those early campaigns eventually found their way into my first manuscripts, and I’ve been writing ever since.
I’ve always been fascinated by how things work. As a kid, I once dropped a toy firetruck down a flight of stairs and spent hours piecing it back together. That urge to fix, to understand, to rebuild… That same curiosity led me to study astrophysics, and it still fuels my writing today.
That curiosity takes shape in two very different series. In Starships and Sorcery, I explore the intersection of hard science and arcane magic, where space elves, space dwarves, and starships collide in a universe of peril, wonder, and discovery. In A Seasoned Saga, I lean into the absurd, blending epic fantasy with culinary chaos, reluctant heroes, and laugh‑out‑loud battles fought with soup and spice.
These days, I live in the San Fernando Valley with my amazing wife, our family, and a menagerie of pets and plants. When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me hiking, baking pies, grilling, or talking stories with friends.
